Why I am building CAVOK
I am a fresh pilot who is not member of a local flying club, I was just trying to find something that keeps me connected with other pilots. The students at my flight school mostly went off to become commercial. Most of my new pilot friends fly the same type of aircraft I do, but are rather dispersed across different countries. So building something to help connecting the European General Aviation pilots seems like a good thing to do. Ultimately, I would dream of joining forces with people to help making aviation in Europe better: easier accessible, safer and most of all, more affordable. For now, I hope more of us will travel across borders, something for which our aircraft were made, but few of us actually do. CAVOK as a platform is still experimental, but I am using the very latest technology and my more than 20 years of experience in shaping user centric communities and information systems.
